Engine Mechanic / فني محركات ديزل

Ensures maintenance for each vehicle / equipment assigned by completing each task on the job card efficiently and within the time allocated.

­Diagnoses any mechanical problems that have not been addressed by the job card and consults with higher level supervisor for further instructions.

­Adheres to maintenance schedules for vehicles assigned, by the higher level supervisor, in order to minimize delays and meet deadlines.

­Maintains contents of tool kit and ensures all tools used for maintenance and repairs are in proper condition and are functioning effectively, to minimize the potential for damage caused by defective tools.

­Attends to vehicle and/or equipment breakdowns occurring outside of workshop on occasion of emergencies/accidents in order to expedite the repair process and ensure the safety of the drivers/machine operators.

­Conducts tests of equipment/vehicles to guarantee their functionality and safety in order to eliminate accidents, injuries, and equipment breakdown.

­Ensures work area is always clean and neat to maintain organization, safety, and efficiency of activities.

­Records all maintenance and repairs conducted and updates database for each vehicle/equipment for future reference.

The ability to use automotive servicing equipment such as an A/C recycler, hydraulic ack, or emission analyzer.

Sufficient Experience in engine overhauling .

Ability to use Pressure Test Gauges, and other instrumentation, and skills in relating thetest results leading to a diagnostic outcome.

Experience in using Diagnostic tool .

spares repairs using repair kit ( injectors , pumps , ETC ...) .

Help to find alternative of defected spare parts instead of new .

Common knowledge of all type of engines.

Familiar with  using catalogues , online research if required .

Reports writing is preferable .

Diagnossing of Engine related mechanical and electrical defects and figure out the root cause analysis .

Understanding the function of engine electrical modules .

Ability to communicate in Arabic or English.
